“haha they wish ,” Lively playfully retorted.
The post featured a picture of Lively kissing Reynolds in his Deadpool makeup and a video where she humorously highlighted how her generation influenced the superhero film.
“Guess Deadpool’s married to a millennial girl in real life without saying it,” she joked in the video, referencing nods to Avril Lavigne, Harry Potter, Frozen, Celine Dion, *NSYNC, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and more throughout the movie.
“I’ve never felt so understood,” Lively quipped at the video’s end.
In her post’s caption, the It Ends With Us star expanded on her sentiments.
“Brb I’m buying milky pens to write your name on my hand @vancityreynolds,” she teased, addressing her peers directly.
“To my y2k girlies, while I should be promoting @itendswithusmovie coming out in 3 weeks, it’s hard to ignore how we’ve influenced @deadpoolmovie—from our middle school obsessions to post-baby emotions, our love for Wizard of Oz, Succession, Sandy & Danny, blasting Avril in the car, and even how we style our hair. So proud,” she concluded humorously, adding, “And I’ve given birth 4 times.”
Indeed, Lively and Reynolds are parents to four children: James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a 1-year-old whose name and gender they have yet to reveal.
