Zoids and Monster
Monster Hunter, originating in 2004 with the release of the Monster Hunter PlayStation 2 game, is gearing up for its 20th-anniversary celebrations. Although the official anniversary falls in March 2024, festivities are already underway. Fans can participate in the “Hunter’s Choice: Top Monster” poll on a dedicated anniversary landing page until December 20. Additionally, a stunning Alatreon model will be available for purchase on March 12, and a line of PC products inspired by the wyvern Rathalos is in the works.
On the other hand, Zoids, which first launched in 1983 as a line of plastic model kits featuring Technozoids—mecha creatures inspired by real and mythical animals—commemorates its 40th anniversary. The celebration includes the release of five new figures, a collaboration with Fist of the North Star, a traveling exhibition, and more.
The exact nature of this dual anniversary celebration is currently unknown. Will exclusive model kits be unveiled? Could loyal Monster Hunter players anticipate the opportunity to hunt Zoids in-game? Perhaps there’s something entirely different in store. The teaser announcement promises that more information will be “coming soon,” so stay tuned for updates!
