Steam Deck: everything we know about Valve’s handheld PC

The upcoming release of Valve’s Steam Deck is very good news for anyone who wishes they could play through their Steam library while on the go. This new device is a handheld gaming PC that can not only be used on your morning commute, but also be docked into a TV or PC monitor. Additionally, its storage can be expanded through the use of SD cards.

Rumors of this device first emerged back in April when it was said that the developers behind Half-Life were working on a handheld gaming device. Ars Technica broke the story that Valve was working on a “Switch-like portable PC,” then referred to as “SteamPal,” a project that we now know is real. If there was any doubt, we know game developers have been receiving their dev kits to optimize their games.
