John Wall Sweats It Out Down Under and Keeps Aussie Hoops in the Mix
Guess who’s out and about down under? It’s none other than John Wall, the NBA star turned part-owner of the South East Melbourne Phoenix. While he’s on a break from the NBA scene, Wall decided to take a little Aussie escapade.

Hangin’ Down Under
Wall’s not just lounging on the beach or wrestling kangaroos. Nope, he’s getting down to business, visiting the team he co-owns. And what a time to drop by! He’s spending quality time in Melbourne until Monday, November 13th.
Sweat and Smiles
On a Friday, Wall got in on the action, working out with the players. “Anything to be an owner of is super exciting for me,” he grinned, spilling the beans to the media. “Just watching the guys play was very exciting for me.”
Not Your Average Tourist
But Wall’s not just a spectator; he’s here to sprinkle a bit of his NBA magic. “Whenever I can help the game grow in different countries and in different places, it’s super exciting for me to be hands-on and come and watch these guys working,” he shared. And who wouldn’t be thrilled to see an NBA veteran casually dropping in?
Dodgeball? Not Quite.
Now, he didn’t go all out during practice. No intense scrimmages for Wall. “I did a little drills, I didn’t really scrimmage, I didn’t want to scrimmage too much,” he confessed. But hey, who needs full-on drills when you can mingle and observe?
Sunday Showdown
Wall’s weekend plans? Catching Phoenix’s game on Sunday against the mighty Melbourne United, the league leaders. And yes, he’s still eyeing that NBA comeback while he’s at it.
The Comeback Chronicles
Despite being out of the NBA at the moment, Wall’s not throwing in the towel. “I still love the game, I still get up every morning at 6 am, work out,” he revealed. The man’s got dedication. “I still love the grind, I still love to get up and put the work in.”
Phoenix Rising? Maybe. Maybe Not.
As for playing for Phoenix? Wall’s keeping us on our toes. “You never know what the future might hold down the road,” he teased. “I’m not going to make any promises.” But hey, if there’s one thing we’re sure of, it’s that Wall is having a blast down under, surprising jersey and all. “They surprised me,” he chuckled. “I was super excited for it.”
