Mike Channell, the manager of Broadway Oyster Bar, expressed, “We are a New Orleans kind of themed bar to begin with, so we were busy from the get-go. We kind of encompass Mardi Gras every day of the year.”

Having opened their doors at 8 a.m. on Saturday, the establishment remained packed until the closing hours. The festive ambiance persisted even as the Mardi Gras parade commenced at 11.

Channell shared, “Once the parade started at 11, we still kept going. We had visitors all day long. We were busy.”

“We kept on top of things,” he affirmed. “We have a great staff here. Everyone is committed to ensuring a seamless transition.”
