QB Drama Unfolds with Geno Smith & Jalen Hurts – Who’s Starting? Plus, Seahawks’ Secondary Struggles Exposed!”

Earlier on Monday, it was confirmed that Hurts would be on the field. However, Smith’s status was more uncertain. The Seattle Seahawks took precautions by elevating Sean Mannion from the practice squad as a backup to Drew Lock, anticipating that Smith might not be ready. Smith had been limited in practice throughout the week, leading to his questionable status.

Although Smith is active, there is still uncertainty about who will start for the Seahawks, as he is not warming up with teammates.

The Seahawks’ inactive players include wide receiver Dee Eskridge (ribs), cornerback Devon Witherspoon (hip), running back Kenny McIntosh, safety Jamal Adams (knee), offensive tackle McClendon Curtis, offensive tackle Raiquwon O’Neal, and defensive end Myles Adams. The absence of Adams and Witherspoon, both questionable, will pose a significant challenge to the team’s secondary.

Hurts, dealing with flu-like symptoms, flew separately to Seattle after being added to the practice report on Saturday as a non-participant. His status was downgraded to questionable on Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ inactive players are quarterback Tanner McKee, cornerback Darius Slay (knee), running back Rashaad Penny, offensive guard Cam Jurgens (pec), linebacker Zach Cunningham (knee), and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam. McKee will serve as the emergency third quarterback.
