Rezvani Beast MK2: Unleashing a 1,000HP Supercar Marvel with Corvette DNA”

In 2015, Rezvani Motors entered the high-performance car manufacturing arena with the Beast, a street-legal racecar. Now, the California-based boutique automaker is resurrecting the nameplate for its latest creation, the Beast MK2. This new vehicle, living up to its name, boasts an impressive power output of around 1,000 horsepower, doubling the capabilities of the original Beast supercar.

Unlike its predecessor, which was based on the Ariel Atom, the Beast MK2 shares its foundation with the Chevrolet C8 Corvette. However, Rezvani has taken great care to distinguish the exterior design of the Beast MK2 from the mid-engine ‘Vette. The only apparent similarities lie in the familiar side vents and a removable targa top.

Weighing in at 1,352 kg (2,980 lbs), the Rezvani Beast MK2 is approximately 300 kg (661 lbs) lighter than the Corvette, primarily due to a body crafted from carbon fiber. Rezvani describes it as “a lightweight body made with special carbon fiber using high-temperature resins that are used in the latest generation of US fighter jets.”

Powering the Beast MK2 is a 6.2-liter V8 borrowed from the Corvette but enhanced with a pair of turbochargers for additional muscle. The result is a formidable powerplant generating 1,000 horsepower and 878 lb-ft of torque, managed by an eight-speed twin-clutch transmission and directed to the rear wheels.

Equipped with grippy Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, the Beast MK2 accelerates like a true supercar, reaching 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and covering the quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds, comparable to the Porsche 911 (992 gen) Turbo S.

While the Corvette’s influence is noticeable in the interior, Rezvani introduces some distinctive elements. The ‘spine’ separating the driver and passenger areas has been removed, and the steering wheel now features a yoke-style appearance.

Rezvani plans to produce only 20 units of the Beast MK2, each priced at over $650,000 (US$485,000). For enthusiasts seeking an extra touch of sophistication, a James Bond-themed ‘007’ package is available for an additional $60,000 (US$45,000), featuring electrified door handles, gas masks, and thermal night vision.

Taking things a step further, an additional $75,000 (US$55,000) opens the door to armored exterior panels and bulletproof windows, unconventional options for a supercar but consistent with Rezvani’s penchant for pushing boundaries and delivering extreme experiences.
