For the Emmys ceremony, Wong demonstrated her precise mastery by harmonizing with the Yves Klein Blue tones of her custom floral Louis Vuitton gown, featuring a shimmering sequin bodice. Behind translucent cat-eye frames, she sported indigo-blue smoky eyes, creating a captivating look.

Makeup artist Daniel Martin, responsible for Wong’s glamorous appearance, used the Dior Onstage Crayon in shade #254 Blue as the base, applied all over the eyelid, including upper and lower waterlines. This intensified the shadow base, allowing the eyeshadow, specifically the Diorshow 5 Couleurs Couture 5 in #279 Denim, to vividly stand out.

“I went bold and deep with a graphic eye to add a bit more drama than what we’ve been doing this season,” commented Martin on the artistic choice.

To complete the look, a swipe of the new Rouge Dior Lipstick in 300 in Nude Style provided a “sophisticated touch.” Martin highlighted the formula’s infusion with hydrating floral care, ensuring a lasting effect throughout the night while keeping Ali’s lips feeling hydrated.

Wong’s eye-catching moment not only celebrates her style but also serves as an inspiration for others to embrace bold choices. Martin encourages individuals to step out of their comfort zones, emphasizing the beauty of experimenting with different applications and shades, particularly praising the allure of blue eyeshadow for those with brown eyes. The journey of exploration, he notes, is part of the fun.
